With a world where 80% of humanity has a Quirk and hero work is an official profession, the series reframed the superhero story through a shonen lens. Izuku Midoriya starts with nothing and inherits everything, and watching him learn to carry the weight of One for All is the core of what makes MHA work.
The series built an international fanbase quickly through Crunchyroll and Netflix. Shoto Todoroki, Bakugo, Uraraka, Tokoyami, Kirishima. U.A. High produced a class of characters with real depth. And on the villain side, All for One and Shigaraki pushed the story into genuinely dark territory.
